Informed by our Group Model Building process and the resulting Causal Loop Diagram, the Stewardship Team identified policy opportunities to support child and family thriving. Through research and community partnerships, the team prioritized Special Purpose Credit Programs (SPCPs) and collaborated with local partner Huntington Bank to elevate the Home for Good Program. To expand awareness of the program and advance more equitable access to homeownership, the Stewardship Team developed Opening Doors to Homeownership: The Guidebook.

Learning Action Labs

MCWI is currently working with multiple partner organizations on developing, testing, and implementing measures for factors that influence child thriving. Some of our work in the past has included, partnering with YMCA to develop, implement, and improve measures of belonging and social capital. With the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, we are developing a measurement framework to learn from their Strength Card intervention. Measures included relate to hope, trust, and resilience.
